Knights of the Ancients (KotA) is a World of Warcraft guild on the European server Emerald Dream, Alliance-side. We are a casual and relaxed guild, with most of our top levels currently joining for heroic instances and raids a couple of days per week! We aim to continue on to other dungeons as we get better and higher in number of raiders. Raiding is, however, not required of top levels although it is encouraged. Our member base ranges from teenagers to adults, both men and women, with toons of all levels.

We welcome applications from all, but as English is our "working language" both on the forums, in the guild chat and in raids/instances, we expect you to be able to communicate well in both written and spoken English.

We require all applicants of top level who want to raid, to have the latest CTRA, DBM and Omen Threat Meter installed and activated in raids, and additionally, all raiding casters with curative spells (cure poisons/diseases, dispel magics/curses/charms, etc.) must have the latest Decursive(or equivalent) installed and in use. All these are available for download from our forum, if and when your application is approved and forum access granted.

We use VoIP - Ventrilo - and you must therefore also be willing to install and use Ventrilo. You won't be required to speak on it (though you're welcome to!), but you will be required to listen, which is why it's important that you understand spoken English. Ventrilo is also available for download from our forum, for guild and forum-members.

Please read our Code of Conduct (and for top level raiders, also Rules of the Raid) before applying, as an application from you will indicate that you have read and agree with it!

Please also be aware that all Raiders are REQUIRED to check the GMotD, forum and raid-page for news, information and scheduled raids, and to SIGN UP on the raid-page well ahead of the start-time for each raid - see specification elsewhere on the forum once invited. Therefore, registration on the forum is mandatory. Raiders are expected to sign up for and attend KotA guild raids rather than attending raids with other guilds or PUGs.

Our forum is unfortunately under constant spam-attacks, and as a result, it's closed to free posting in order to keep it "clean". If you want to apply for guild membership in KotA, please therefore fill out the below form and submit it. We are a friendly guild with a nice atmosphere, and to keep that way we only want the best. Please add as much information about yourself as you see fit, and view your application as your chance to show us who you are - and remember, first impressions count!

Our main raid nights and the instances we go to, are posted on the open forum, under "Raid progress".
All raids start at 8 pm server time with invites given out half an hour prior to the raid start. We normally end all raids at 11 pm server time - in the weekends we might go on for longer, if the mood takes us.
But 8 - 11 pm is our Raid Core Time, which we expect our raiders to stay for provided unforeseen circumstances don't occur.
